I took a picture of Couzens Hall in Ann Arbor. This is a student dormitory where my brother stays at. In the first picture I wanted to show how symmetrical the building was. In the second I wanted to show repetition of the windows. One of my successes is taking an angle of the building that shows the windows in a pattern.
This building is the Detroit Observatory right next to Couzens Hall. This is where they hold a huge telescope inside the dome. This building is also very symmetrical. I wanted to show how very simple the details are in these photos.
This structure is right next to the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology. This building had many edges and had an interesting structure. There was no symmetry in this building unlike my other photos. I wanted an angle to show a lot of the sides and corners. I took this in the afternoon when it was cloudy and it gave a white background.
